Striving For Excellence, Caring For All In a Loving And Caring Christian Environment.

        Anyone for tennis?

On Tuesday 17th May 2022, a squad of Year 4 children took part in the School Games Tennis Tournament at Spalding Tennis Club.

When they arrives, they were greeted by Rupert Gibson. He welcomed them and the other schools taking part and then explained the plan for the day.

The children were arranged into mixed pairs and, once they had warmed up, they played mini-matches against their partner.  After a few successful games, a lot of cheering and a delicious picnic lunch, the scores were totted up and the winners were announced.

Our players played skilfully and, after helping other schools by filling in empty player slots whilst supporting each other in an incredibly positive way, were overjoyed to receive 2nd and 4th positions overall.

As well as playing skillfully and admirably, our players were also praised for their fabulous sportsmanship, for their respectful manners, for their enthusiasm and for generally showing tremendous reliance, determination and perseverance…  essentially, the Bourne Elsea Park ‘Wow’ Factor. They really did make us all proud.

A huge well done to all who took part!
