Once again, the choir of Bourne Elsea Park Church of England Primary Academy have brought the joy of Christmas to the people of Bourne, in particular to anyone shopping in Tesco Supermarket!  On Tuesday 10th December 2019, whether buying food for Christmas or just popping in for some teabags, shoppers were enthralled and entertained by the enthusiastic sound of Christmas carols and songs, performed by 50 tuneful choristers, set to bring some seasonal sparkle to a windy and wet Winter’s day.  Supported by many encouraging parents, the children delighted both staff and customers by their fabulous singing and heart-warming smiles, performing some well-known classics such as Winter Wonderland and Santa Claus is coming to town along with the more traditional carols such as O Little Town of Bethlehem.  One pupil said “I was quite nervous to begin with but when I saw people smiling I really enjoyed myself!” Thanks must go to the staff of Tesco for welcoming the children (and sending them on their way with some tasty treats!) but also to the children who raised the roof and sang their hearts out.  Well done to our amazing choir, who are now eagerly preparing for their adventure to Young Voices next January!  Keep singing!!
