On Monday 13th September, the chidlers of Bourne Elsea Park C of E Primary Academy once again had the most glorious phizzwizard of a day celebrating the extraordinary life and times of Roald Dahl.

The chidlers were complete chatbags as they entered the school gates; desperate to find out what the day ahead had in store. And they were not disappointed by the rumpledumpus that awaited them.

Each class and year group had prepared a variety of activities to keep each and every childler fully entertained. Marvelous medicines were mixed, Revolting Rhymes were read and re-enacted, quizzical quizzes were quizzed, and most remarkably of all, an infestation of enormous crocodiles spread its way through the playgrounds, classrooms and corridors of Elsea Park.

To end the day, the teachers took part in a Roald Dahl themed story time where they shared a snippet from their favourite Roald Dahl book. I think it’s fair to say, the children were truly inspired by Roald Dahl’s incredible imagination, and Mr Bellamy was thrilled to hear a small group of children talking about how impressed they were with the tolerance and respect Charlie showed when faced with the vile Golden Ticket winners. What an excellent example of a child living out their British Values!

What a truly wondiferous way to end the day!
