On Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th July, Year 6  put on a show stopping performance of Prexit, by Edgy Productions. The children have been working extremely hard over the last few weeks to learn their lines, songs and actions and were extremely excited to perform to their parents and carers.

The performance began in a classroom with a group of children and their teacher debating whether they should or should not leave primary school. It delved into the inevitability and reality of leaving primary school, whilst considering some of the reasons why children would love to remain there forever. This was the perfect opportunity for the Year 6s to celebrate their time at Bourne Elsea Park and revisit their experiences, events and people that have made it such a special part of their lives.

They revisited experiences such a PE lessons, the awesome array of after school clubs, Mr Keefe (their superhero site manager) and how valuable their teaching assistants are. All the children were involved in making this an amazing performance. The acting and singing parts were a chance for children to enjoy their moment in the spotlight and the children showed great perseverance learning their lines and songs.

The children showed enormous enthusiasm and courage throughout their performance, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved, including the audience.

We are extremely proud of our Year 6s, they showed enthusiasm, perseverance, dedication and definitely had the WOW Factor! It was the perfect opportunity for the children to reflect upon and celebrate their time here with us at Bourne Elsea Park. We wish them all the best as they start their new adventures at secondary school.
