        Sports Relief

On Friday 13th March, the children of Bourne Elsea Park Church of England came to school all dressed in PE kits, ballet shoes, karate outfits and rugby boots, all in aid of the fact that they were raising money for Sport Relief 2020.

After learning about a few particular children they would be supporting in a special Sport Relief Collective Worship, the children made their way back to their classes singing the fabulous Sport Relief song, Game On, accompanied by the Makaton signing, where they carried out more Sport Relief activities. Of course, the obligatory cake sale was a huge success as always so many thanks for the delicious offerings made by both parents, teachers and children.

In the afternoon, the children excitedly gathered in their house groups on the KS1 playground to take part in a Record Breakers challenge.  Moving from zone to zone, they attempted World Records in dexterity, sport, fun and teamwork challenges.  Others took part in a Gallopathon and Leapfrog challenge.  Much hilarity was had watching teachers demonstrate their galloping styles!

Well done and thank you as always to the whole of our school community for joining in so enthusiastically and raising an incredible total of £413.25!
