Anglian Water Workshops.
Children in years 1 and 3 took part in workshops with Rachel from Anglian Water on the 4th and 6th February.
Year 1 discovered the importance of water. They became ‘water investigators’ using their sense of smell and taste to work out what had been added to different water samples. They then met Captain Splosh and learnt about why water is important in keeping us healthy.
Children in year 3 thought about how much water we use and waste. They took part in a water quiz, sorting activity and discussed how they could be more ‘Water Wise’ and less ‘Water Waste.’
Miss Worrall (Eco Schools Coordinator) explained ‘We are very lucky to have had Anglian Water visit us each year to help us spread the message of the importance of preserving water. Rachel makes the workshops informative and enjoyable and the children always come away enthused to make a difference.’
