Meet Our Year 5 and Year 6 Sport Ambassadors for 2024!

We are excited to introduce our new Year 5 and 6 Sport Ambassadors for 2024! These young leaders are set to make a big impact on our school’s involvement in sport, and they kicked off their journey with their first training session on Friday, 18th October.

During the training, the children were officially welcomed to their new roles and learned more about the responsibilities they will take on throughout the year. Their duties will include leading a Legacy Tour assembly, organising various sport competitions, and setting up clubs to encourage their fellow students to be #Healthy, Happy, Active. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to develop their leadership skills and inspire others in our school community.

An important part of the session involved exploring what makes a good leader. The Sport Ambassadors discussed the key characteristics needed to guide others, motivate their peers, and create a positive atmosphere in school sports. They then took time to write a special postcard to their future selves, reflecting on their hopes and goals for their role as Sport Ambassadors.

To mark the occasion, each child received a special Sport Ambassador T-shirt. They can now proudly wear these during PE lessons and sport events, representing their new role and showing their commitment to leading by example.

We are looking forward to seeing how our Sport Ambassadors will inspire the rest of the school and help us achieve an exciting and active year ahead.
