Easter Service Year 5 and Year 6

        Author: Alex Worrall

Year 5 and 6 children join their peers from Bourne Abbey and filled the pews of Bourne Abbey Church for their annual Easter service on Wednesday 29th March.

Celebrating a significant part of the Christian calendar, the children retold the Easter Story beautifully through readings, songs and actions. All participated with enthusiasm sharing the positive, hopeful messages about how we can all do our bit, being our best selves.  A Year 6 child explained, “The feeling of going into the church was embracing, bringing me comfort. The singing sounded amazing and filled every corner of the church. The prayers and thoughts helped me to reflect on the person I am and want to be.”

It was a special time for both pupils and staff from both schools to come together and all take a moment to reflect on the remarkable and very special events in Holy Week.
