Reception were unbelievably excited to take part in a swash-buckling workshop from Partake History this week. As part of this fantastic experience our classroom was transformed ready for a pirate adventure! The children donned pirate tabards, Polynesian leis and feathered wings to travel on an incredible adventure around the world in the search of treasure. Children had the opportunity to role play and dance, led by the fearsome Captain Steve from Partake History and his First Mate Mair. Cries of “Aye aye captain!” could be heard out the classroom door as the children fully inhabited the role of a motley crew of pirates. The final performance received rave reviews- “I loved EVERYTHING!” said Amelia, aged 4. Wendy Campbell , EYFS Lead, added “Partake History was a fantastic way to bring our topic to life. The children loved the immersive, multi-sensory experience and showed great skill at following instructions and swabbing decks with bucket loads of enthusiasm!”
