Open The Book – A Jar and a Jug
Today’s story was A Jar and a Jug, about Elijah.
Elijah met a woman who had nothing left to eat, but Elijah remembered that God had promised to take care of everyone. With trust in God, and trust in God’s promises, Elijah and the woman were saved from the drought and had enough to eat.
This story links perfectly with our harvest celebrations this week! We thank God for the food he gives us. So, take a moment to reflect: would you have trusted Elijah? And how can you show thanks for the food we are given?
