Open The Book – Adam and Eve
We were asked to think about someone we enjoy spending time with. That’s called a relationship. God made people so that they could have a relationship with three things: With god, with each other, and the world. This links so nicely with our 3 R/s – we show respect to ourselves, others and the world. Sometimes things might happen to spoil the loving relationships we have, with god, others and the world. Adam and Eve were given an instruction by god, and when they ignored that instruction, their loving relationship was ruined. This made God very unhappy. But that wasn’t the end of this loving relationship; god had a plan to fix things.
Think of a time when you did something someone asked you not to do. How can you fix things when you make a bad choice?
