Our PTFA Bring A Splash of Colour to the Playground

        Author: Lorna Ockwell

Although the sun seems to have been playing hide and seek recently, no one has been able to hide the smiles on the faces of our KS2 children this week.

Thanks to an incredibly generous donation from the PTFA, the children now have 3 wonderfully bright and summery picnic tables to use during their breaktimes. And although the tables and benches have only been in position for a matter of days, they have already become a well-loved part of the Elsea Park Family, providing sociable spaces for children to read, draw, chat and even play cards! The children were especially thrilled when they discovered their hard-wearing tables were made from recycled bottle tops! So they are fabulously-fun AND environmentally friendly!

So this is a message from the KS2 children to our wonderful PTFA – THANK YOU! WE LOVE OUR NEW TABLES AND WE LOVE USING THEM FOR OUR DRAWING AND READING CLUBS!

I also know for a fact, the children and teachers in KS1 are frantically racking their brains trying to think of outside learning opportunities so they can use the beautiful benches and tables too!
