Perseverance and Courage

We also learn about the Christian Values of  Perseverance and Courage. Basic to Christian faith is the claim that God is always present in every situation. This belief has led to great acts of courage that have included facing danger and opposition, overcoming fear, making a stand for what is right and encouraging others to persevere. Through Collective Worship and reflection, we will encourage our children to find the strength to persevere and be courageous.

Through the Parable of The Lost Sheep, we will encourage the children to persevere, just like the shepherd did when he lost his sheep. Just as the shepherd was reminded by God, we will remind the children to:

Not give up easily

Try, try and try again

Stick at a task and see the job through to the end.

 

“The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?”
