Making mistakes is an important part of learning and something which is an integral part of our High Five. We expect children will make mistakes, but encourage them to recognise that making mistakes can help them improve.
We see the development of our children as a partnership between home and school, where we work together to ensure all children achieve their potential. The concept of ‘Take Care’ is central to the way we live our lives in school. We take care and respect ourselves, others, our school, the environment and the world in which we live. Warm, caring and trusting relationships are established between staff, pupils and parents/carers throughout the school. This helps give the children confidence as learners. The staff and governors provide role models for the pupils through shared values and support for one another. Additionally, we encourage our children to ‘take care’ and pride in themselves and their own work
We certainly have! We’ve a hugely talented collection of students in our school and we will always strive to celebrate this. From praise in classrooms for an outstanding piece of work, to Golden Book assembly and celebrating out of school achievements we encourage our children to shine and they never let us down!
Something we pride ourselves in is our enthusiasm in our approach to all that we do. We encourage the children to put their hearts and souls into everything that they do.
Our geese metaphor for teamwork and leadership is a key part of life at Bourne Elsea Park, we celebrate and model this in lots of ways and encourage children to do the same. You can find out lots more about our Bourne Elsea Park Geese on our Geese page on the site.
