Well, would you believe it?
Did you know gas takes up space? No? Well it does! And today we carried out an experiment to prove it! We mixed bicarbonate of soda and vinegar in a fish tank. This reaction caused a gas to be produced. This gas laid in a layer at the bottom of the tank, as a result, the bubbles we blew were unable to sink to the bottom of the tank! If you look closely you can see this little fella floating in mid air (or resting on the layer of gas if we’re being scientific about it!)
