This week Year 5 had an action-packed afternoon when an external rugby coach came to lead a special session. The students got stuck into a range of rugby activities, learning some key skills and having a lot of fun along the way. They practiced tackling techniques using a tackle bag, worked on passing the ball accurately, and finished off with a lively game of tag rugby.
It was brilliant to see everyone get involved and give it their best. Even those who were new to the sport showed great enthusiasm, and it was amazing to watch their confidence grow with each activity. The coach was fantastic at encouraging the children to push themselves while making sure everyone had a great time.
By the end of the session, some students were saying rugby was their new favourite sport, and many were eager to take part in more! It was a wonderful introduction to rugby, giving the children a chance to develop skills, enjoy physical activity, and experience the fun of team sports.
